- Homeless (8/25/2007)
One day, when I was with one of my friends in Warsaw, I have become very, very hungry. We ate outside, when near of us, in great basket on garbage, some oldest person begin searching. He was homeless who searched for thrown out leavings of feeds. Then, I wanted to return part of my feed, but I looked only. Never I have faced each other with homeless almost earlier, who searchs for not alcohol but feeds. I was in easy shock. Homeless has been removed with food from basket, sat on nearby, and begin eating. I have taken one of my warm saigons and I have take away it for him.He said “Thank You” – not stop eating and not looking on me. I was surprised it behaviour. I knew that I have made something obvious. I thought if I shouldn’t gave to homeless whole my meal?… I felt commotion my feels – some small pride and shame for that pride…

- Starbucks Rendezvous (8/23/2007)
While I went to get my Starbucks one day, I noticed a little old lady. She appeared to be homeless, but she was not asking for money from anyone. I carried on and bought my drink and saw her again once I came back outside. At that point, I saw her digging in the garbage, still not asking anyone for any money. It hit me that she could very well be anyone’s sweet little grandma, but here she was just digging through the garbage for food of some sort. I went up to her and gave her the rest of my remaining cash.
