In this episode, we provide an historical context for the origins and migrations of Buddhism throughout the world, with a particular emphasis on Buddhism in China, leading to the conditions that allowed Master Hua to bring these teachings and practices to the West.

About

Dharma Radio is a project of Dharma Realm Buddhist Association (DRBA). DRBA is an international, non-profit Buddhist organization founded by the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua in 1959, and has branch monasteries in many countries and cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver, as well as in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Australia. It is our wish that theses wisdom teachings be as accessible as turning on a radio, and tuning in, which fulfils Master Hua’s wish that Buddhism adapt to the cultural context in the West.
